Stephanie Sant is a filmmaker, writer and performer born in Malta and based in France. From an early age she wrote stories and plays that she would act out with her brother and sisters. In parallel to this, she studied and played the harp and the piano at Johann Strauss School of Music, Valletta for 12 years. She graduated with a Master's in Arts in Photography from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London in 2016. Besides her short films (see filmography/video) her notable projects involve her frequent collaborations with artist filmmaker Célia Hay, in being selected for the creative team for the San Marino Pavilion for the 2019 Venice Biennale and being a performer in Olivier de Sagazan's two creations, Hybridation and La Messe de l'Âne. She is the co-creator and writer of Lazuli Studio.
Being a multidisciplinary artist, Stephanie is very open to collaborations that notably involve filmmaking, performing and writing. Stephanie has worked as a life model in numerous art schools and art studios in Malta for the last 4 years. She is a script-doctor in training and can offer advice, feedback and criticism on treatments and scripts for early-career filmmakers at fair prices. Her fine art photography can be available as customised prints on archival Hahnemuehle paper.
